Lesson 10
Add Your Tour to the Website
Select your organization, confirm Matterport is connected, link a space on a tour, and publish the listing.
Work through each step in order, then mark the lesson complete when you are ready to continue.
Your Matterport space is scanned, processed, and polished. The last step is linking that space to a unit in the organization you manage and publishing the listing so prospects can explore it on your website.
1 Select your organization
In the admin portal, choose the organization you are working in from the org switcher (top bar). Matterport credentials, spaces, and tours are all scoped to that organization. Stay on the same org you used when you saved Matterport credentials in Settings → Integrations.
2 Confirm Matterport is connected
Open Settings → Integrations and find the Matterport card. The badge should show configured, and your last test should be successful. If not, follow account setup: paste Token ID and Token Secret, Save, then Test connection until you see Connection successful.
3 Verify your space synced
Open Leasing → Matterport Spaces (same organization still selected). Your uploaded scan should appear in the list. If it is missing, confirm the space is ready in Matterport under My Spaces and that your API token belongs to that same Matterport account.
4 Open View Tours and create or edit a listing
Go to Leasing → Tours → View Tours. Click Add Tour to create a new listing, or open a draft tour that was started before the scan. Each tour ties one rentable unit to one listing on your public website. New listings open the Create Tour form.
5 Pick the property and unit
Select the Property and Rentable Unit you scanned. Add a Listing title (required), plus an optional subtitle and highlights (one per line). These fields are what prospects see on the listing page.
6 Link your Matterport space
Open the Matterport Space dropdown and choose the space you uploaded. Inactive or processing scans may show with a status label. When a space is assigned, the listing shows Virtual Tour ready and the Virtual Tour tour type becomes available automatically.
If your space is still missing, paste the model ID from my.matterport.com/show/?m=YOUR_ID into Or paste Matterport model ID on the tour form. If the dropdown is empty entirely, return to step 2 and confirm Test connection is successful for the organization currently selected in the org switcher.
7 Set up access (optional)
If this unit offers Self Tour, assign a Lockbox and write short lockbox instructions (one step per line). Prospects receive those directions in the access code email along with their entry code.
8 Choose tour types and publish
Use the Tour Types section to enable or disable Self Tour, Guided Tour, and Live Virtual for this listing (or leave them on the organization default). Then set Status to Published, turn the Published switch on, and save.
Publishing may be blocked until owner compliance is complete (Fair Housing certification, lead paint disclosure on pre-1978 homes, or owner onboarding). If save fails, read the error message on screen and resolve the blocker before trying again.
9 Confirm it is live
Back on View Tours, your row should show Virtual Tour ready when the Matterport space is linked. Open the tour detail page and use Open Matterport to preview the 3D walkthrough. Once published, the listing (with the embedded virtual tour) appears on your organization's public listings website.
